Hartlepool Art Gallery is at the heart of the cultural life of Hartlepool. With exhibitions of international, national and regional artists and a programme of events and learning throughout the year, the Gallery is a welcome home for inspiration and learning.
We also have a great café and sell fabulous work by local design makers and artists in our shop.

Sarah has over 15 years of experience in art curation and gallery management. She is passionate about making art accessible to everyone and has curated exhibitions featuring both emerging and established artists from around the world.
Michael Roberts
Head Curator
Michael specializes in contemporary and modern art with a focus on regional artists. His expertise in art history and conservation ensures that every exhibition tells a compelling story while preserving artistic integrity.
Emma Brown
Education & Community Officer
Emma develops and delivers our educational programmes, workshops, and community engagement initiatives. She believes in the transformative power of art education and works to inspire creativity in visitors of all ages.
James Thompson
Collections Manager
James oversees the gallery's extensive collection and ensures proper care, documentation, and display of artworks. His meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of conservation practices protect our cultural heritage.

Events Coordinator

Gallery Assistant & Shop Manager
